At-home food sensitivity test measuring IgG antibody patterns to 250+ foods.

If you feel like certain foods may be affecting your digestion, skin, energy, headaches, or overall comfort, guessing can get frustrating fast. Food journaling helps, but it often misses delayed reactions because symptoms may not show up right after a meal.

The IgG Food Explorer™ from Diagnostic Solutions Laboratory measures IgG antibody patterns to 250+ foods using a simple at-home bloodspot collection. Results can help guide a more structured elimination and reintroduction plan, so your next diet changes are based on data instead of random restriction.

This test includes a NuGeneLabs interpretation summary to help you understand your results and turn the report into practical next steps.

IgG Food Explorer Sample Report

Important Note:

IgG Food Explorer™ is a food sensitivity panel. It is not an IgE food allergy test, an emergency allergy test, a celiac disease test, or a lactose intolerance test.

If you have immediate reactions to foods, swelling, hives, trouble breathing, throat tightness, or a history of anaphylaxis, work with a qualified healthcare professional or allergist.

Who It’s For

IgG Food Explorer™ may be a good fit for people who want more clarity around food-related patterns such as:

  • Bloating, gas, constipation, diarrhea, nausea, or reflux
  • Skin flare-ups or recurring skin discomfort
  • Headaches or migraines that may be food-related
  • Fatigue, brain fog, or feeling “off” after eating
  • Joint or muscle discomfort that seems to fluctuate with diet
  • A desire to build a more personalized elimination and reintroduction plan
  • Ongoing digestive concerns where food reactions may be part of the picture

This test is especially useful for people who have tried random elimination diets and want a more organized way to decide which foods to remove, rotate, or reintroduce.

Who Should Choose a Different Test or Get Medical Guidance First

This is not the right test for every situation.

Choose medical evaluation or a different test if you:

  • Have immediate food reactions, hives, swelling, throat tightness, wheezing, or anaphylaxis risk
  • Need IgE allergy testing
  • Need celiac disease screening
  • Need lactose intolerance testing
  • Have severe or unexplained symptoms that need medical evaluation
  • Are located in a restricted state or territory
  • Are testing a child under age 2

If your main concern is gut infection, parasites, H. pylori, dysbiosis, or inflammatory gut markers, GI-MAP may be a better starting point or a useful follow-up test.

Why It Matters

Food sensitivity work often fails because people remove too many foods at once, remove the wrong foods, or never properly reintroduce foods. That can lead to unnecessary restriction without better answers.

IgG Food Explorer™ helps organize the process. Instead of guessing, the report shows IgG antibody patterns across a broad food list, which can help prioritize what to remove first and what may be reasonable to keep.

The goal is not to label foods as “bad forever.” The goal is to create a smarter, temporary, and personalized food strategy that can be adjusted over time.

How It Works

At-home bloodspot collection
The test uses a finger-stick collection of 250 uL of blood. You collect the sample at home, label it clearly, and ship it back according to the kit instructions.

Broad IgG food-antigen measurement
The lab measures IgG antibody patterns across 250+ foods and food antigens, including common foods, dairy components, grains, seafood, nuts, seeds, spices, and specialty foods.

Category-based report layout
The report organizes foods into clear categories such as milk and egg, meat, fish and seafood, cereals and seeds, nuts, legumes, fruits, vegetables, spices, mushrooms, coffee and tea, and other foods.

Interpretation summary included
NuGeneLabs provides an interpretation summary to help translate the report into a practical food plan, lifestyle guidance, and supplement suggestions when appropriate.

Diet guidance without random restriction
Results can help guide a structured elimination and reintroduction plan, rather than removing foods based only on guesswork or broad diet trends.

Suggested Follow-Up Tests / Combine With

Gut Health Follow-Up

IgG Food Explorer™ + GI-MAP Stool Test

This is the most relevant follow-up pathway when food sensitivity results are broad or when digestive symptoms are ongoing. IgG Food Explorer™ helps identify food-response patterns, while GI-MAP can provide deeper insight into gut microbiome, dysbiosis, H. pylori, parasites, fungi, and gut-related markers.

Nutrition and Lifestyle Personalization

IgG Food Explorer™ + Blood Test Panels

For customers who want a broader wellness view, food sensitivity results may pair well with blood panels that evaluate metabolic, nutrient, hormone, or inflammation-related patterns.

Gut Support Routine

IgG Food Explorer™ + Gut Health Supplements

After results are reviewed, supplements may be recommended based on the individual pattern. This may include digestive support, probiotics, gut barrier support, or targeted nutrition support when appropriate.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is IgG Food Explorer™ the same as food allergy testing?

No. IgG Food Explorer™ is not an IgE allergy test. IgE testing is used for immediate allergy patterns, while this panel measures IgG antibody patterns that may be used in functional nutrition to guide food sensitivity conversations.

Can this test tell me exactly which foods I should never eat again?

No. Results should not be used as a permanent “never eat” list. They are best used to guide a structured elimination and reintroduction plan, ideally with practitioner support.

Should I remove foods before taking the test?

Do not start a major elimination diet right before testing unless your healthcare provider tells you to. If you have already removed many foods for a long time, your results may reflect your current exposure pattern rather than your full historical food response.

What if many foods come back elevated?

A high number of elevated foods may suggest that a broader gut-support strategy should be considered. In that case, it may be helpful to review digestion, gut barrier support, stress, sleep, and whether a deeper gut test such as GI-MAP makes sense.

Does this test check for lactose intolerance or celiac disease?

No. IgG Food Explorer™ does not test for lactose intolerance and does not test for celiac disease-specific antibodies.
